KLN studio was asked by architect Jack Solomon to engineer and fabricate custom millwork for the kitchen and living room of this stunning Brooklyn condominium.
Using a consistent language of wooden slats, floating surfaces and stone accents, these pieces bring a necessary warmth to the existing architecture of the building.
Furniture built:
Living room millwork
Kitchen island with integrated wine rack and removable cutting board
Entryway console

The living room millwork features push-open cabinet doors, acoustic sound dampening panels with cherry slats, floating shelves, fluted terrazzo, wine fridge, bench seating with integrated storage and concealed power outlets, integrated led lighting, and a variety of electronics seamlessly integrated into the cabinetry to conceal all cabling and mounts.

The kitchen island features a built in wine rack, cantilevered eat-in counter section, quartzite countertop, and a removable cutting board that reveals an additional built-in cutting board below.

This entryway console is comprised of two offset push open drawers. The voids form open shelf cubbies and keep the piece feeling airy and light.
